I am starting this blog because a dear friend of mine got the little double line on the pee stick, and I don’t want to wear her out with all my “Did you know that…?” and unsolicited pieces of advice.
The information in this blog is accurate to the best of my knowledge, but be advised I’m not a doctor, nurse, psychiatrist, pharmacist, drug sales rep, or any such occupation. In other words, you have no reason not to trust me. On the other hand, you have no particular reason to take my word for it, so please do lots of research. On the other hand, the whole point of this blog is that I did the research already and am presenting you with the conclusions of said research, so do what you have time and interest for.
You will find, hopefully to your delight, that I do not preface my statements with qualifiers, and I will never, ever utter the words: “Whatever you choose to do is right for you” because I believe them to be absurd, at best. There is such a thing as science. Research exists. Facts exist. It’s not a good sign when society condemns as judgmental or nosy those who seek to spread knowledge and to disprove myth, to counter misinformation.
So the intent of this blog is to promote research- and evidence-based pregnancy and parenting choices. The cool thing is that natural instinct and science go hand in hand.
